Viðkvæm Harka, 2011 - present

Viðkvæm Harka is an ongoing research project, a whole field of research for me actually. Inspired by the use of the experimental sensing techniques for Projective Spaces and my background in Maths, the idea of viðkæm harka came about in a shift toward purely experimentation imperatives and last but not least my true love for Iceland, deep love for Iceland.
Having started learning the language, I rather superimposed pictograms on shots I took. A single output as the organic textures of the places make my heart swell, a single output that replaces for now the use of words, icelandic words.
Projective Spaces, 2010 - present

Projective Spaces is an ongoing project initiated in September 2010 when I moved to Iceland. Initial researches were conducted in summer 2009 and based on experimental sensing techniques. With Tobias Oeckler, a singer-songwriter and sound engineer from Germany, we later strengthened the project adding an immersive experience based on sound to it.
Comprising photography and sound in an installation being developed and refined during my creative stay in Reykjavík, the project deals with the human inability to perceive change driven by underlying natural processes, especially involved in climate change. About the opposite of the current media coverage of the issue, Projective Spaces wishes to be a poetic warning rather than a dramatic address.
More information will follow later under this section. Stay tuned !
David Lynch's multiple art forms and integration in its filmmaking, 2009 - 2010

To kick-off that section, available for download is my thesis on David Lynch creative process. Completed over the course of two years, this body of work highlights the opaque narration in his latest feature film : INLAND EMPIRE (2006).
It is probably one of the prime examples in his career where he combined multiple art forms in a single project. Given the versatility of the film medium, we see how the movie forms a whole that reflects his creativity in painting, photography, soundscapes, music and drawings.
Ok the only thing is the text is in French, why did I bother to write an abstract in English ??? :)
